Wellington Golf Club has a great tradition with junior golf. Myles Miller, the 2009 Kansas Junior Amateur Champion and 2009-2010 KSHSAA Class 4-A Medalist honed his skills at WGC as have numerous other Kansas State High School Champions in both team and individual competition. WGC currently hosts Junior Tournaments for KJGA, SCSPGA, and WHS along with two events of it's own, the Wellington Junior Championship and the Parent-Child Championship. To help get junior players on the road to success, the Junior Golf Clinic is conducted in June and junior players normally have good access to the course. Dates for the 2012 Junior Golf Clinic will be announced soon. WGC Director of Golf Steve Gill will conducting the clinic with the assistance of 2010 KGA Mid-Am Champion Derek Harrison.
In addition to the family membership, WGC has two membership plans just for junior players and also offers a reduced daily junior green fee rate.
