Gus Collins, City Manager for the City of Wellington, has over twenty-eight years of governmental experience at the local level.
- He is a native of Emporia, KS
- Graduate of Emporia State University with a Bachelor of Science, Business Administration. His experience has been primarily in the Wichita MSA.
- Served as the Economic Development Director for Butler County, the largest county, geographically, in Kansas.
- Employed at the City of El Dorado for over twenty-two years, served as City Clerk/Finance Director from 1983 to 1995, promoted to Assistant City Manager in 1995 and then selected as City Manager in 2004.
- He has served as City Manager for the City of Wellington since May 1, 2006.
- His hobbies include golfing, hunting, fishing - all sporting events.
- He has one daughter - Brogan - born on July 9, 1998.
- Member of the local Rotary Club.
- Serves on the Wellington Challenger Board.
- Member of the International Association of City Managers and the Kansas Association of City Managers.
