Find A Location For Your Business

Wellington has a proud history of industrial and agricultural excellence. Sumner County, known as the Wheat Capital of the World, produces vast quantities of winter wheat, rivaled by no other. Industries such as aviation and the railroad are critical dynamics of the local economy. From large aerospace companies to metal fabrication shops and specialized fabrication shops, Wellington has numerous aviation suppliers working to manufacture integral components for general and commercial aircraft flying around the world. Wellington also has operations of two of the most prominent railroad companies in the United States working to connect the community with major markets throughout the country. From receiving inputs to delivering outputs, the railroad adds strength to an outstanding multi-modal transportation network that puts business success in the forefront. Another important industry of Wellington is healthcare. Wellington has the benefits of dentistry, chiropractic, optometry/ophthalmology, mental heath, and a full-service hospital, all working together to help increase the quality of life for the citizens. However, these important participants in the community reflect only a portion of the aggregate local economy. There are numerous other businesses working diligently to contribute to a greater quality of life for all who live, work, and play in Wellington. The City of Wellington values the contributions of each and every business.
